Jen, where ya been?

I’m here doing bad ass mom stuff. We have been so busy with both kids in sports that we don’t know if we are coming or going. We just had our first free weekend in over a month. I’d like to say it was incredibly productive but there’s a few things I just can’t do, cartwheels, anything involving a mouse and lying.

Let’s see, Brogan just rounded out fall baseball. I’m very excited for next Spring. He decided that he missed football so much that he joined with 4 games left in the season. He doesn’t actually get to play but he gets to practice and dress for the games. He is learning some good life lessons and I’m proud of him for putting his ego aside to put in the work.

Addie decided that she was going to try Cross Country this year. I will admit this is a sport that has never been on my radar. None of my kids have every shown any interest in it. I had no idea what to expect. Thank GOD I had a seasoned mom to have pity on me and give me some pointers. I have seen some pretty intense baseball and football moms but I think cross country moms might take the cake. Imagine women in yoga pants and windbreakers running around yelling times at their kids while reminding them to swing their arms and pick it up! Not a lot intimidates me but holy shit they are a lot. The season is over but I expect this to be one of her annual activities.
