Naked Friday and the Laundromat

Chuck birthday is tomorrow. He told me a week ago that he was going to take today off. Naked Fridays are a tradition for us. Usually once every couple of months he will take a Friday off and we will spend the day together. The term “Naked Friday” was introduced when the kids started wanting to be involved. They would be “sick” on our planned day. Let me tell you nothing gets a kid better faster than telling them you are gonna be naked all day. As much as we were looking forward to today, we did get our bubble burst a bit. The kids had a scheduled 1/2 day.

Unfortunately our plans for the day did not include a quiet brunch, or a stroll through an antique mall. Top priority was a trip to the laundromat. For a family of four the amount of laundry we have is embarrassing. Unfortunately I let it get out of control to the point where the only option was $50 and 2 hours at the laundromat.

Laundry, the only thing we can count on to always be there.

Getting hit on at the laundromat in front of my husband can be checked off my bucket list. I even got to sing him “my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.” I love to laugh with him. We are that cheesy couple that kisses when we are folding the sheets. When you bring the ends together you kiss. It’s just what we’ve always done. Apparently the laundromat is no exception. After an hour and a half we had washed, dried and folded a shit ton of laundry. Efficiency at it’s best.

He wasn’t even jealous 😂

We brought the laundry home and headed to Menards. I could spend all day in that store. We grabbed a few odds and ends to switch up our coat closet and finally grabbed a sink for the basement bar. Starting projects is never our problem, it’s completing them that’s the kicker. I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
