Thanksgiving & A Torn ACL.

No Bob Evan’s for us this year. Apparently my family has developed a more sophisticated palate. Thank goodness my mom offered to make the rolls, stuffing, deviled eggs and something else I can’t remember. That means we are responsible for the turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and the pumpkin pie. Chuck will do the turkey and sweet potatoes which leaves me with the mashed potatoes and the pumpkin pie. The good news is Costco sells pumpkin pies for $5.00 and Bob Evan’s still makes solid potatoes that I can warm up and no one will say a word.

Addie took a decent fall a couple of weeks ago during a basketball game. Chuck took her to the urgent care for X-rays and they said they thought it was a strained MCL. After a couple of weeks of it not getting better he took her to OAM. They scheduled an MRI last Saturday. At today’s appointment she learned that she actually has a torn ACL and is going to need surgery. She will be out of sports for the rest of the year. She is one tough cookie. Unfortunately Dr. Matelic didn’t seem very optimistic about getting her in before the new year.

I’m not sure why my kids keep having season ending injuries at the beginning of the season.
