My baby is a teenager!

It’s now official. My baby, the last one of 3, is a teenager.

The decision of delivering her on Christmas Eve or December 28th was a no brainer. In hindsight having a December birthday has really worked in her favor. We might go a little overboard to make sure she feels the love on her birthday.

Yesterday we started out at Ulta and 5 Below. She struck out on overpriced pigmented blush and a new Sol de Janeiro. We headed over to the mall and she struck the jackpot at Sephora. The rest of the trip is a little hazy. All of the stores started to look the same. We rounded out the afternoon with lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. It was a great day.

Today I woke up and decided that I was going to go after Christmas shopping and thrifting. I definitely have buyer’s remorse for the stuff I got at Hobby Lobby. So much so that I made Chuck call and see if I could return clearance items. Thank goodness they said that with a receipt it can be returned. I don’t know what it is about at clearance sale but it’s like I lose all of my common sense. I bought all kinds of Grinch decorations. You know the ones that are 3ft tall and everything that went with them. Right down to the Grinch ramen bowl. I know damn well there is no way in hell I would let my kids decorate my house in Grinch decorations. I’m a bit neurotic about my holiday decorations.

No room for the Grinch here!
When you FaceTime your teenager to see if she loves the shirt at the thrift store and she thinks it’s hideous and you’re lame.
