Recap December 18th 2023

I am not a morning person. On top of today being Monday my damn Keurig didn’t work this morning. It shut off mid brew. Of course when I opened it water and coffee grinds went all over. I cleaned it, unplugged and re plugged it in and managed to get another 1/2 brew that I could salvage some coffee from.

I was about 30 minutes late for work. Of course my job is probably one of the most flexible on the planet so I’ve got that going for me.

I brought those damn cookies to my cookie exchange tonight. This was my second year and it’s always such a fun time and when you leave you get to bring home a bunch of different baked goodies. Next year I’m upping my presentation game.

I had a memory pop up on my FB feed from 3 years ago when I bought my kids their own bubble wrap for Christmas. Apparently a whole roll doesn’t have the same effect as a single 8×10 piece that you have to fight over. I ended up taking one roll to work and the other one I used to wrap up Christmas ornaments.

It wasn’t quite as bad as the year I thought I had hit the jackpot for Addies Christmas. I had bought her a mannequin head like you get in beauty school. It came with a ton of hair accessories. I thought she would love practicing on it’s hair. She was terrified of it and buried it in the bottom of the spare room closet. That one might come up in therapy some day.
